History

RuneScript is an IRC bot made for the MMORPG game RuneScape. It is a compilation of scripts that retrieve statistics on players via the hiscores and analyze the data it finds to give helpful information to people who request it. It has a whole host of other features too: goal levels, default names, player ranks on hi-scores, price lookups, statistic tracking, and much more.

RuneScript has been in development since early April 2005 as a small project for some bored RuneScape players. Since then it has become a large tool for many RuneScape users across IRC networks. RuneScript is regularly used by thousands of channels and on over 30 IRC networks and at peak times, we serve up to 500 commands a minute. We are very open to suggestions for the bot and we are always looking for more features to add. If you have a suggestion for RuneScript, feel free to post on our forum and tell us. We always consider every suggestion and we will do our best to add appropriate requests. RuneScript is free for anyone to use and if you would like to use it in your channel, check out this page.

RuneScript is actively developed by both the Root Administrators and the Bot Administrators. Should you need to contact a Staff member, select their name from the menu to access their contact details.
